I came across Tonk Syndicate today and learned they have a porno t-shirt. Apparently, it lists the names of current pornstars in the industry. I say ‘apparently’ cause I’m not familiar with them….

Tonk Syndicate doesn’t have much on the site. Looks to be a new brand on the scene with a odd sense of humor. I could be wrong and this is some long running brand or person or whatever…

NEW YORK (CNN) — The town of Bedford, New York, is not happy with a tent set up as part of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi’s visit to the United States for the United Nations General Assembly, a town attorney said Tuesday.

The tent is on property that Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi is renting in New York, WABC reported.

“I discussed this matter with town officials, and the town building inspector believes that this would constitute a violation of several town zoning and land use laws,” Bedford town attorney Joel Sachs said. “I directed the town building inspector to immediately go to the property and issue a stop work order, which would the individuals to cease erecting the tent.”

Sachs said if he had to he would take the issue to a higher court to get the tent taken down.

New York state Sen. Vincent Liebell confirmed to CNN affiliate WABC that Gadhafi had rented the property.

“He’s not going to have many fans in Bedford or Westchester County, certainly not me,” the senator said. “There’s not going to be any welcome mat for him in Bedford.”

The property is owned by the Trump Organization, which said in a statement: “We have business partners and associates all over the world. The property was leased on a short-term basis to Middle Eastern partners, who may or may not have a relationship to Mr. Gadhafi. We are looking into the matter.”

County Executive Andy Spano said earlier Tuesday he had heard unconfirmed reports that Gadhafi may be staying there.

“There is no legal way to prevent this, as he is a head of state, despite the fact that he has a long history as a terrorist,” Spano said in a statement. “However, from my point of view, he is not welcome in Westchester.”

State Department officials said there are no limitations on Gadhafi’s visa that would prevent him from traveling to the area. They said their understanding was that Gadhafi was not staying at the tent, but was visiting and having meetings there. He is staying in New York, the officials said. The U.N. General Assembly begins Wednesday.

Under the Foreign Mission Act, the United States does have the right to restrict travel by diplomats to within a certain distance of U.N. headquarters, but the officials said Westchester County is within that radius.

Gadhafi travels with a trademark Bedouin tent.

Last month, Gadhafi stirred up anger when he permitted a large welcome for Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi, the Libyan convicted of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, in December 1988. Al Megrahi was released by Scottish authorities on compassionate medical grounds, and the celebration of his homecoming infuriated some families of the Pan Am 103 victims.

After Raekwon released his critically acclaimed album Only Built for Cuban Linx in 1995 many people were waiting for him to replicate that exact same greatness. But Raekwon dealt with the same problem many artists have dealt with throughout hip hop history. It is so hard to make an album as great as that first great album. And even though this album is not as great, it is so damn fun to hear something so close. Hip hop fans unite, and enjoy what is the best album of 2009 (unless you want to include Drake So Far Gone in the conversation, which I do not because it is a mixtape). As Phonte from Little Brother said via his Twitter feed, “This is the Rae album I have been waiting on for over a decade. I’m buying two copies. ”

This album begins exactly where the first one left off. From the album cover with both Rae and Ghost on the front, to the picture on the inside of CD being a mirror image to the first Cuban Linx. The intro Return of the North Star starts at the end of North Star Jewels from Cuban Linx I. Even the album cover is purple (Only Built from Cuban Linx I was a purple cassette tape when it came out. It was known as the Purple Tape). The only difference from this albums greatness to this album greatness is that the RZA did not do all of the production. This album has greats such as Dr. Dre, Pete Rock, Alchemist, Dilla, and the RZA again to assist him on this one. It is almost unbelievable how well this album was put together.

After Return of the North Star (Intro) it goes right into House of Flying Daggers. This album is a crazy Wu throwback with Inspectah Deck, Method Man, GZA, and Ghostface Killah that make people remember why they loved them so much in the first place. Cold Outside is a beautiful track that DJ Koncise made me promise to mention that is so soulful and poetic, it almost reminds you of Rainy Dayz from OB4CL1. On the track Have Mercy Beanie Sigel kills it from jump with lyrics like “My days getting shorter/ my nights getting longer/ my cell getting smaller/ my son getting taller/“. Beanie just doing his same old thing and that is before Raekwon drops his verse that is so impressive I do not have enough words to put it in perspective. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more whether regarding Broken Safety, Canal Street, and Ason Jones (tribute to Old Dirty Bastard that made me scream out “Brooklyn Zoo” after a second listen).

If I could drop anything off this album it is Catalina featuring Lyfe Jennings. Not a bad song, but it would be addition by subtraction. But other than that this CD is awesome.

If you even like the Wu a little, or just want some of that old school real hip hop back, get Only Built For Cuban Linx II. This album is done the way it is suppose to be done by a real veteran. This is way better than Raekwon‘s last to offerings Immobilarity or The Lex Diamond Story. It may not have the historical significance that Only Built For Cuban Linx had when it first came out has but Raekwon made an album that demands to be heard.

The Jordan 60+ are a blend of every Jordan shoe he wore when he scored 60 points in a game.  Too Trill.

Check out the new City Lights Vol. 2: Shibuya from Dutch producer extraordinaire Nicolay!  The full album comes out September 15, 2009.  I thought it would be a good time to post this since my brother Mike is overseas living the good life. Enjoy.

Check out Raekwon new video House of Flying Daggers in anticipation for Only Built for Cuban Lnx 2 which comes out Tuesday.  I love the illustration by 1000 Styles.  The Wu may be making a strong comeback!
